Edinburgh host familiar foes the Lions in a Challenge Cup round of 16 tie with a URC flavour to it.
The Scottish side lie eighth in the URC, while the Johannesburg outfit have endured a disappointing domestic campaign lying 14th.
Edinburgh finished top of Pool 3 to earn themselves home advantage, while the Lions only mustered fourth place in Pool 2.
Graham is Edinburgh's danger man
Scotland international Darcy Graham has lit up the Challenge Cup with the hot-stepping wing averaging the most line breaks (4) and carry metres (133) per game in the competition so far.
Graham is fortunate to benefit from the creativity of Wes Goosen, who has assisted the joint most line breaks (5) and tries (3) in the tournament. Goosen also has made the second most carry metres (342) and line breaks (6).
Flanker Luke Crosbie has proven to be a force of nature in defence, making the most dominant tackles (7) and has the best success rate (95%) among the top 50 tacklers.
Crosbie will have to be on his A game though as the Lions average the most dominant carries per game (27.5) and the second most post contact metres per carry (1), while 14.2% of their collisions have been dominant, which is top of the tournament.
Previous meetings
The two teams have never met in the Challenge Cup but the previous meeting in the URC saw the Lions thrash the Scots 55-21 in Johannesburg.
