When everyone’s fit and healthy, PREM Rugby boasts some of the most electric players in the world.
Imagine this: the five quickest players in the Premiership going head-to-head in a 100-metre sprint to finally decide who’s the fastest man in the competition. It’s an idea that’s been floating around for a few seasons, but with Red Bull’s takeover of Newcastle signalling their intent to dive deeper into rugby, it could genuinely become a reality.
If ever there was a brand built for rugby’s fastest men, it’s Red Bull. Known for turning sport into spectacle, the energy drink giant has conquered everything from cliff diving to Formula 1. Crowning the Premiership’s speed king at the end of the 2025–26 season would be marketing gold.
So, who would line up in the starting blocks?
Adam Radwan (Leicester Tigers)
Radwan’s pace has been his trademark since he burst onto the scene. He’s lightning-quick, twitchy and fearless. Give him five metres of space and he’s gone. His explosive acceleration off the mark makes him a nightmare for defenders. He would be a favourite for any sprint showdown.
Louis Rees-Zammit (Bristol Bears)
Before his NFL stint, Rees-Zammit was already known for his blistering pace. His long stride, rapid leg turnover and ability to hit top speed in seconds make him one of the most dangerous finishers in the game. When he’s fully fit, he’s right in the mix for top spot.
Henry Arundell (Bath Rugby)
Bath’s star winger has a highlight reel packed with long-range tries. He’s known for sustaining top speed over distance with a blend of balance, stride length and acceleration that makes him lethal in broken play. Over 100 metres, he’d be hard to beat.
Immanuel Feyi-Waboso (Exeter Chiefs)
The breakout star of English rugby, Feyi-Waboso combines raw power with elite acceleration. His low centre of gravity and explosive leg drive make him devastating in open space.
Noah Caluori (Saracens)
The youngster has captured everyone’s attention in just a handful of appearances for Saracens this season. Still raw, but the way he moves, with that balance of power, stride, and control, has caused defenders all sorts of problems. He’s the dark horse of the race.
Who do you think should line up for the Red Bull Rugby Sprint?
