Prediction France by 18

20 Years almost to the day arguably the modern golden age of Welsh Rugby was born during a wild ten minute spell in Paris. Martyn Williams with two tries after a first half onslaught by le bleus, led to the first Welsh Grand Slam in 27 years and the birth of a new age of Welsh Rugby.
That was then and this is now and we are in the early stages of a French Revolution led by their own petit generale the incomparable Antoine DuPont. If domestic form is anything to go by then this will be an extremely long day for the men in Red. A late injury to Damian Penaud might save a couple of 5 pointers but hard to look past a dominant French victory.

Italy 2024/25 are very much the France of the late 90’s and early 00’s as in “Which Italy side will turn up on the day” seems to be a prevailing sentence in any pre match talk.
The Forza have the ability to turn it on when they want and when they do they are deadly. Paolo Garbisi, Ignacio Brex, Ange Capuozzo, Tommasso Menonncello have the ability to make any backline look average in defence and a Scotland without defensive leader Sione Tuipolotu in their ranks will be hoping for some parity in the back line.
Scotland by 10 seems a fair assessment but I hope that my rugby neutrality hopes that the pre-match spag bol is seasoned just right and that Italy pull off a shock win.

Prediction England by 4

I can smell the Guinness curdling from here. Irish Rugby is fantastic at the moment, Leinster Immense as always and Munster stringing some good performances in the last few weeks. But I don’t know, theres something in the water with England.
Harlequin duo Cadan Murley on Debut and Marcus Smith at 10 in a Lions year seems too mouth watering to write them off and something in my spidey sense say England at Aviva will take it.
Exciting propsect to see Tom Willis off the bench too as I feel he has a genuine claim as a bolter at 8 which isn’t in an overpopulated position. The Stats will say Ireland but my gut says England.
